What “Verified” means on Oonsa

The Verified badge tells you a real person at Oonsa checked the basics before the vendor got it. Here is exactly what we check, and what the badge does not promise.

What we check before the badge

  • Who they are

Vendors are asked to prove their identity with a government photo ID through our identity partner. Our team sees the result.

  • Their business papers

A person at Oonsa reviews the business documents the vendor uploads (for example their ABN details) and approves them. The badge is only given once none are waiting for review.

  • How they get paid

The vendor has finished setting up their payout account, so money for your booking can reach them once the job is done.

Insurance is a separate check

Every vendor going live on Oonsa must have public liability insurance on file that we have approved and that is still in date. Some categories, such as planners and consultants, also need professional indemnity cover. Vendors who joined before this rule are being asked to upload their certificates.

What the badge does not mean

  • It is not a promise about the quality of someone’s work. Read the reviews, which come only from real bookings.
  • It is not a licence or an endorsement. Vendors are responsible for the permits their work needs.
  • A vendor without the badge is labelled “Oonsa vendor”. They have not finished our checks yet, which is not a sign that anything is wrong.

Your payment is protected either way

Oonsa Payment Protection applies to every booking made on Oonsa, verified vendor or not. Your payment is held safely and only released once the service is complete. How refunds and issues work
